“Friendship? Not on the pitch!”
According to British media outlet The Boot Room, the 26-year-old, who was called up to the Brazil squad for the March A match, issued a “cute warning” to his “Tottenham teammate” James Maddison (27, England) ahead of the friendly against England.
Brazil’s national soccer team, coached by Doribau Junior, will face Gareth Southgate’s England at Wembley Stadium in London, England, on March 24 at 4:00 a.m. in the first leg of the March A-Match friendly. They will then face Belgium in the second leg at 4:45 a.m. on March 27 at the same venue.
England’s squad is packed with players who are tearing up European professional leagues, including Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), Maddison (Tottenham), and Judd Bellingham (Real Madrid).
Hicharisson will be playing against Maddison, who is currently playing for Tottenham, in the national anthem.
He uses his ‘warning’ to get the ball rolling.
“I’ve already told her that there’s no such thing as friendship behind the scenes,” he told CBF about meeting Maddison in a national team match, according to The Boot Room. “I’ve already told her that there is no such thing as friendship off the field.
“Hopefully we can have a great match and hopefully win,” he added.

He has been sidelined recently with a knee injury.
He injured his knee on Feb. 18 during an English Premier League (EPL) match against Wolverhampton (1-2 loss to Tottenham). He started the game and was subbed out in the 26th minute of the second half.
He then spent about four weeks recovering before returning to action in the EPL against Fulham (0-3 loss to Tottenham) on April 17. I didn’t play much. He was on the field for 10 minutes.
He’s hoping to make a splash with the national team.
Meanwhile, The Boot Room suggests that Maddison may not be able to play against Brazil.
“Maddison is a very complete player, but he is unlikely to start against Brazil,” the publication said, “Bellingham and Declan Rice (Arsenal) are more likely to be selected. Then there’s Phil Foden (Manchester United). Maddison is also on the call-up list, so he’s not out of the question, but we don’t think he’ll play against Brazil.”
“I think he’ll start,” he concluded.
