Hard Rock International to Begin Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Athens

Hard Rock International, GEK TERNA Group, and the Athenian community celebrated the groundbreaking ceremony of a luxury resort and casino in the heart of Athens Rivera. The groundbreaking ceremony was followed by a commemorative shovel celebration at the historic Hellinikon Airport. The following celebrations included Hard Rock International, GEK TERNA Group executives, Greek government officials, political dignitaries, and community leaders.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Athens is the continent’s first integrated resort and will serve as an economic driving force for entertainment and tourism in the city of Athens. Expected to open in 2027, the resort will be a unique destination, combining luxury hotels, global gaming floors, premier conference and convention spaces, state-of-the-art entertainment venues, internationally renowned food and beverage, luxurious rock spa and pool complex, and luxury retail trails. 스포츠토토

The 1.5 billion euro construction project is a state-of-the-art facility that is expected to create 3,000 construction jobs and 3,000 permanent jobs, not only boosting Athens’ regional economy but also having an immediate positive impact on Greece’s economy.

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Athens offers a vibrant casino consisting of 180 tables and 1,500 gaming machines, as well as a tower consisting of 1,100 rooms and 15 dining options. The project also includes a 3,000-seat Hard Rock Live Theater with standing rooms for 4,000 guests, as well as Rock® Spa and Body Rock Fitness.

Inspired by Athens’ rich heritage and culture as well as beautiful Mediterranean landscapes, this unique destination expands Hard Rock’s growing presence in Europe. The commitment of Hard Rock and GEK TERNA Group to the project represents a shared vision with the Greek government and the development of Lambda to transform the historic Helinicon airport into a global redevelopment that will further enhance the city and Greek tourism industry.
