Oklahoma Casino Celebrates Kentucky Derby

Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs will be alive with the entertainment industry on May 7 for the annual Derby Day celebration, which coincides with the 137th edition of the Kentucky Derby.

“Derby Day is traditionally the busiest day of the year,” said Kelly Cash, race secretary at Cherokee Casino Will Rogers Downs. “We expect large crowds and have packed day activities scheduled, so make sure you come early and stay with us late.”

Derby Day’s event begins at 9 a.m. with a $4.99 breakfast and a handicap lesson on track announcer Jesse Ully’s racing apron. 온라인경마

At 10 a.m., the guest service will offer an official Kentucky Derby shirt to the first 250 guests who recognize the reward card. Mint Jules is available as part of the day’s festivities.

Dedicated race fans with the most creative Derby hats will receive their cash prizes at the annual Will Rogers Downs Kentucky Derby Hat Competition. Registration is from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The screening is at 3:30 p.m., and the top three winners will receive $300, $200 and $100, respectively.

Live racing begins at 12:30 p.m. and features the fifth run of the Clem maxfaden route 66 Memorial Stakes and the Wilma Mankiller Memorial Stakes. Racing will stop during the 5:15 post – time of the 137th run of the Kentucky Derby.
“The excitement for new encounters never gets old,” said Katy. “For the past two years, jockey Nena Matz has dominated both the Clem Maxfadden and Wilma Mankiller memorials. It will be really exciting to see if she can maintain back-to-back encounters.”

Six-furlong Clem Max Padden Memorial Route 66 is limited to colts and geldes older than three years. Purse guaranteed $50,000 and $5,000 will be added from the OKB program if eligible.

The Wilma Mankiller Memorial is guaranteed a purse of $50,000 and gets another $5,000 from the OKB program if eligible. The six-furlong event is limited to fillies and mares over age 3.
