Genius Sports Q3 U.S. Revenue Triples, Exceeds Estimates

Genius Sports, a U.K.-based provider of digital sports content, technology and integrity services, reported a triple year-over-year increase in U.S. operations in the third quarter of 2022. Revenue and revenue exceeded Wall Street’s expectations for the period, according to the company.

The company generated $235.7 million in revenue in the third quarter of 2022 and was up 14% from management’s forecast, which relied on $231 million before the quarter. Net loss is 4 cents per share, exceeding the expected loss of 7 cents across the industry and data from analysts available in the public domain. 슬롯머신사이트

Mark Locke, Founder and CEO of Genius, advised in a press release earlier today on the main driving force behind third-quarter revenue growth:
“This year, we continue to deploy innovative technologies across sports, betting, media, and broadcasting ecosystems, gain new customers, and strengthen core partnerships to deliver strong execution.”

Genius’ flagship betting technology, content and services accounted for 63% of revenue, but its media business performed best during the period, with media revenue up 29% to $17.9 million, up 83% year over year.

The company explained that sales in the third quarter of 2022 – three times as much as in the same period of 2021 – were organically increased primarily by expanding its customer portfolio. Another factor of success could be the company’s programmatic advertising service, which allows customers to target desirable consumer groups on websites and social media.

As Genius’ media business boomed, its sports betting performance continued to grow modestly year-on-year on concerns about investors’ market value and industrial spending, and as Wall Street demanded, Genius has made financial progress closer to its profitability target for the year.

The company reported adjusted EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) earnings of $7.7 million as a result of its last third quarter. Overall in 2022, the provider’s operations increased by 32% through 2021. With total revenue of $235.7 million, adjusted EBITDA of $13.1 and a drop of 37 cents per share, Genius is on a steady path to crossing the 2022 finish line as intended.
