MGM Resorts’ Springfield corporate office occupies an 11-story building known to locals as the Mass Mutual Building. The new office is expected to house 300 executives and employees, and about 50 people have already moved in, local media reported.
Located at 95 State Street in the heart of Springfield, it was first built in 1929 to house the operator’s new office. Before moving in, MGM Resorts had to renovate certain aspects, including plumbing, electrical and other facilities. However, the operator preserved the original exterior of the building.
Casino News Daily recently reported that MGM Resorts has begun looking for new casino resort employees. Last November, the company opened a job center in downtown Springfield.
The Las Vegas casino giant previously promised that 35% of the resort’s 3,000 employees are from Springfield and 90% are from the city and region. MGM Springfield President and COO reiterated the company’s commitment to hire organizers in a recent interview with local media.
