LEE WINS DEAF TENNIS WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP, WILL COMPETE IN DEAFLYMPICS IN 2025

Deaf tennis player Lee Deok-hee (Sejong City Hall) has won the Deaf Tennis World Championship and qualified for the Deaflympics, the 2025 Deaflympics. “Lee Deok-hee won the Deaf Tennis World Championship in Greece earlier this month,” Lee’s management company, S&B Company, announced on Wednesday .Lee defeated Jaroslav Smedek (Czech Republic) 2-0 (6-2 6-2) in the final of this year’s World Deaf Tennis Championships, which featured 20 countries. Lee, who is level 3 deaf, overcame his hearing impairment to compete alongside able-bodied athletes and won a bronze medal in the men’s singles event at the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta-Palembang.
